My IDT
My IDT provides you with quick access to relevant information and keeps you up to date. It is your personal space, with options to customize the information to fit your needs.
You can access My IDT after registration. Once you’re registered, you can choose to set a login password or continue logging in with a randomly generated access code that will be sent to your email. If you need help please contact our support.
How does the registration process work?
- Enter your email address into the designated field.
- You will receive an authentication code via email to activate your account immediately. You didn't receive the email? Please check your spam folder.
- Enter the authentication code into the designated field within 10 minutes.
- After a successful login, you will be directed to settings. There, you can create your profile and set a password for future logins, if you wish.
- If you don't want to set a password, you will continue to receive an automatically generated authentication code for each new login.
Is using a password mandatory?
No, setting a personal password is optional. My IDT offers the option of no password login. Instead, you will use a new, automatically generated authentication code with each login.
What is an activation email?
An activation email confirms the email address that you used to register with My IDT. It includes an authentication code and instructions on how to activate your account.
Why do I need to activate my account?
Activating your account is a safety measure aimed at preventing unauthorized access to your email address and personal account. It also confirms your intention to use the services of My IDT and grants you full access to all its features.
What should I do if I don't receive the activation email?
You didn't receive the activation email? Several things could have happened:
- Spam: please check your spam folder. The activation email may have gone there. To avoid this issue for future passwordless logins, add the sender to your "Safe Sender" list.
- Faulty email: please double-check if any accidental errors occurred when entering your email address.
- Delay: Please be patient. Email delivery can occasionally be delayed.
- None of the above: If you have tried troubleshooting but still didn’t receive an email, please contact our support team.
What happens if I enter the code too late?
You have the option to request a new code.
Bookmarks
What is the bookmark feature?
The bookmark feature allows you to add your favorite products, or products you are interested in to your personal bookmark list. This way you can navigate to your products and datasheets quickly. If important data has changed, it will be automatically updated, ensuring that your information in My IDT is always up to date.
How does the bookmark feature work?
Logging in:
- Login by visiting the IDT website and navigating to the login button of My IDT.
- Enter your login information [username and password or authentication code] and click on the login button.
Adding products to the bookmark list:
- After logging in, you will see the My IDT dashboard.
- Navigate to the top menu bar of the website and select a category under the products section, such as Gaskets.
- Products that can be bookmarked carry a flag icon in the top-right corner of the product photo.
- To add a product to your bookmark list, simply click on the flag. To remove an article from your bookmark list, click the flag again.
Viewing the bookmark list:
- To view your bookmark list while navigating the website, simply click on the red circle icon with the flag symbol at the right edge of the screen.
- Your bookmark list will open in the same window, showing all the products you have marked.
- By clicking the login button to My IDT in the top menu bar of the website, you can return to all areas of your account.
