Company Policy Mission Statement and Self-Image
We bring safety to the world—reliably, responsibly, and together. For people and the environment. For customers, partners, and the industry. For solutions that deliver, even under pressure.
Our corporate policy guides our actions at IDT. It is based on an open, trusting corporate culture and on the values of a family-owned company that has been taking responsibility for more than 100 years. Reliability, curiosity, and humanity shape our decisions just as much as our consistent adherence to laws, standards, and social norms.
Words describe our culture. What matters, however, is how we live it: in our daily interactions, in collaboration across locations and functions, and in our commitment to act with experience, creativity, and straightforwardness. This is how we create security—today and in the future.
This corporate policy applies to all companies and locations within the IDT Group. Location-specific management systems and additional obligations are described in the following sections.
Codes of Conduct
The IDT Group’s mission statement is concretely expressed in two binding codes of conduct that apply to all companies and locations within the Group.
The IDT Code of Conduct for Employees provides all employees and managers with guidance on professional, ethical, and legally compliant behavior—in daily interactions, with customers and partners, and in public. It specifies what responsible conduct means at IDT in everyday life. Managers play a special role as role models in this regard.
The IDT Supplier Code of Conduct sets forth the binding minimum requirements that IDT imposes on all suppliers, service providers, and contractors. It covers requirements regarding human rights, working conditions, environmental protection, integrity, and data protection, and is an integral part of every business relationship with the IDT Group. Suppliers are obligated to pass these requirements on to their own subcontractors.
Both codes reflect our identity as a responsible family-owned company and complement the requirements of applicable management systems by incorporating the ethical and social dimensions of our actions.
Applicable Standards & Management Systems
Quality Management
The basis of our quality standards for the entire IDT Group is DIN EN ISO 9001 (Quality Management). All locations operate a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001 and commit to:
- comply with the applicable legal, regulatory, and normative requirements
- reliably meeting customer requirements
- to continuously improve processes, products, and services
- to systematically consider risks and opportunities
Integrated Management System (IMS)
In addition, IDT Industrie- und Dichtungstechnik Werk Kupferring GmbH operates an Integrated Management System (IMS) at its Annaberg-Buchholz location.
In addition to quality management, this system covers the following standards:
- DIN EN ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety)
- DIN EN ISO 14001 (Environmental management)
- DIN EN ISO 50001 (Energy management)
The integrated management system serves to systematically control, document, and continuously improve processes in the areas of quality, occupational health and safety, the environment, and energy.

As part of the Integrated Management System (IMS), the Annaberg-Buchholz site commits to:
- to ensure healthy working conditions and contribute to the prevention of work-related injuries and illnesses
- to eliminate hazards and minimize occupational health and safety risks
- to consult with employees and their representatives and actively involve them
- to protect the environment and resources, including with regard to the use of our products
- to use energy, products, and services efficiently
- Support design-related activities that take into account the improvement of energy-related performance
- Continuously improve performance in the areas of quality, occupational health and safety, the environment, and energy

- Comply with legal, regulatory, and voluntary requirements
- to ensure the company’s economic success in order to preserve jobs in the long term and enable sustainable corporate development
- We fundamentally view accidents, illnesses, harmful environmental impacts, and energy waste as preventable.
Management, Implementation & Continuous Improvement
Implementation, Evaluation, and Improvement
All employees are required to comply with the quality management guidelines applicable to their location and—where applicable at their location—the integrated management system, and to implement them within their respective areas of responsibility.
The effectiveness of the processes and results is monitored through key performance indicators, data analyses, and internal and external audits. Risks and opportunities are systematically identified, assessed, and managed through appropriate measures. The results are incorporated into the regular management review.
Objectives
The Executive Board, together with the responsible management representatives, regularly—at least once a year—defines specific and measurable quality objectives for all IDT Group locations.
At the Annaberg-Buchholz site, additional objectives are established for occupational health and safety, the environment, and energy. Appropriate measures, programs, and resources are provided to achieve these objectives. The implementation and effectiveness of the measures are monitored.
Management Responsibility
The Executive Board bears overall responsibility for the IDT Group’s quality management as well as for the integrated management system at the Annaberg-Buchholz site. It provides the necessary resources and regularly reviews their effectiveness as part of management reviews. All employees actively participate in the further development of quality management as well as—where applicable at their site—the integrated management system.
