Installation Instructions for Fabric Gaskets

1. General information

• The fabric gasket must only be installed by trained specialists.
• The fabric gasket may only be used under the specified operating conditions.
• Fabric gaskets must be handled with particular care. Kinks or sharp bends in the fabric must be avoided at all costs.

2. Preparing the sealing surface and installation

• The sealing surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned: they must be dry, free of dust and oil, and free of residues from old seals.
• Position the seal precisely in the intended groove without stretching or twisting it.
• During installation, ensure that the visible end of the gasket is placed on the flat sealing surface or in the bottom of the groove.
