Tube Expansion Joint [Installation on Mounting Flanges]

  • Article Number: 2300KP02
  • Material: 2300
  • Profile: KP02

Fabric expansion joints are flexible connecting elements in pipeline and duct systems that compensate for movements, vibrations and stresses. They are made of heat- and chemical-resistant fabrics and are mainly used in industry [e.g. power plants]. Fabric expansion joints improve the service life of pipe systems, reduce noise and enable flexible adaptation to thermal expansion and mechanical loads.

This Tube Expansion Joint is mounted on an extracted mounting flange. It is suitable for all cross-section shapes and sizes. Corners should be provided with appropriate radii; it is not necessary to drill into the pipeline.

Due to the good temperature reduction in the fastening area, it can be used without pre-insulation at 400 °C to 500 °C and with pre-insulation at 600 °C to 700 °C. With appropriate design measures such as internal brick lining, temperatures of up to 1000 °C can also be controlled.
