My IDT #

With My IDT, we want to give you quick access to the information relevant to you and also keep you up to date at all times. It is your personal area that you can use entirely according to your needs.

Access to My IDT is available after successful registration. Once registered, you can either set a password of your choice or continue to sign in with a randomly generated code that is sent to your email. If you need help, you can contact our support at any time.

  1. Enter your email address in the field provided.
  2. You will immediately receive an activation email with the authentication code.
  3. Didn’t receive an email? Please check your spam folder.
  4. Enter the authentication code in the field provided. You have 10 minutes to do this.
  5. After a successful log-in, you will be taken to the profile settings. There you can set up your profile and optionally set a password for future logins.
  6. If you do not set a password, you will receive an automatically generated authentication code for each new login.

No, setting a personal password is optional. My IDT offers passwordless sign-in via the automatically generated authentication code.

An activation email is used to confirm the email address you used to register for My IDT. It contains an authentication code and instructions to activate your account.

Activating your account is a security measure to prevent unauthorized access to your email address and thereby to your personal account. Activation also confirms your intention to use My IDT’s services and enables you to have full access to all enabled features.

If you didn’t receive an activation email, there could be various reasons:

  1. Please check your spam folder. The activation email may have been filtered there. To avoid this in future passwordless logins, you can add the sender to your safe sender list.
  2. Please check your email address for possible mistakes that may have occurred during entry.
  3. Please wait a moment. Email delivery can sometimes be delayed.
  4. Please contact support if you have tried everything but still have not received an email.

You can request a new code to be sent to you.

Bookmarks #

What is the bookmarks feature?

With the bookmarks feature of My IDT, you can add your staple items — or items you are interested in or regularly read about — to your personal list. From this list, you can quickly navigate to the items and their corresponding data sheets. If contents of the “favorites” on your list have changed, this will be shown automatically. This way you can be sure your data on My IDT is always up to date.

How does the bookmarks feature work?

Sign in:

  1. Sign in by visiting the IDT website and navigating to the My IDT login page.
  2. Enter your credentials [username and password/authentication code] and click Sign in.

Add items to your bookmarks:

  1. After signing in, you will see the My IDT dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the top menu of the website and choose a category under “Products”, e.g., gaskets.
  3. Items you can add to your bookmarks are marked with a “flag” in the top-right corner of the product image.
  4. To add an item to your bookmarks, simply click the flag. To remove an item from your bookmarks, click the flag again.

View your bookmarks:

  1. While browsing the site, click the red circle icon with the flag symbol on the right edge of the screen to view your bookmarks.
  2. Your bookmarks will open in the same window and you will see all items you have saved there.
  3. Using the My IDT login button in the top menu, you can return to all areas of your personal user space.
